Chicken Pot Pie

  • I am so glad I found this recipe on Pinterest last night because it was absolutely delicious. It is a simple dinner to make and very filling.



    Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked chicken
  • 1 bag Steamfresh vegetable (optional)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • Garlic powder & Italian seasoning to taste
  • Black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Put the chicken in a 2-quart casserole dish.
  3. Combine the broth and soup in a medium saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Pour the broth mixture over the chicken.
  5. In a separate medium bowl, mix the flour with the pepper.
  6. Stir in the melted butter and the buttermilk. Pour this mixture over the casserole and smooth the top; do not stir. 
  7. Bake the casserole until the crust is brown and the filling beneath is hot and bubbly, 45 minutes.
