Apple Crisp (21 Day Fix)

Dessert are one of those recipes that I have to try to find recipes that are healthier to be able to enjoy the holidays with desserts and not have the guilt. This is one I look forward to trying out for Christmas.

Healthy Apple Crisp – 21 Day Fix Approved

Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Yield: serves 4
Ingredients
  • 4 cups apples, thinly sliced (I didn't peel mine because I wanted the extra fibre, but feel free to peel your apples)
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 Tbsp whole wheat flour (can use a gluten free flour like oat flour)
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Combine apples, maple syrup, and cinnamon in a pie plate or square baking dish. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine oats, flour, coconut oil, maple syrup, and cinnamon.
  4. Top apple mixture with oat mixture. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes, or until apples are soft.
