Turkey Chili

Crockpots are the best electronic ever, I absolutely love mine. I just got a new one for my birthday and love cooking with it. I think that it makes dinners so much easier. Pop everything in the pot and let it cook on low for six to eight hours and you have a delicious dinner. This was a throw together recipe, if you would like to try it out you can now enjoy it in your own home.


Turkey chili:


  • 1 red bell pepper, 1 orange bell pepper, 1 yellow pepper, 1 green pepper
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 can black beans, cannellini beans, chili beans
  • 1/2 packet mild chili seasoning
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • Garlic powder, black pepper, chili powder, & cumin, beef cube (seasoning)
Directions:
  1. Chop peppers, onion, and add to the crockpot
  2. Add beans, tomato paste, tomato sauce, water
  3. Cook the ground turkey til done
  4. Add the turkey to the slow cooker
  5. Add the chili seasoning and spices; stir to combine
  6. Cook on low for 6-8 hours



Creamed Corn Cornbread:

  • 1 bag steamed corn
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 1 Jiffy cornbread mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until all ingredients are combined.
  2. Pour in a 9x13 baking pan that is sprayed with cooking spray.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes in the oven at 375 degrees or until a toothpick comes out clean.
