Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Casserole



For this simple breakfast or brunch dish you will need:


  • 1 (16 oz.) can of jumbo biscuits
  • 1 lb of sausage, turkey sausage, ham, bacon (for this recipe I used turkey sausage)
  • 2 cups of colby jack shredded cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package of country gravy (optional)
  • 2 cups water
Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray
  3. Cut each biscuit into eighths
  4. Line the bottom of the pan with biscuits.
  5. Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the biscuits.
  6. Then sprinkle the shredded cheese over the sausage mixture
  7. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs with milk, salt and pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese layer
  9. In a medium bowl, combine the country gravy mixture with 2 cups of water.
  10. Whisk the gravy till combined
  11. Pour the gravy over the egg mixture
  12. Cover and bake the dish for 45-60 minutes
  13. Slice and Serve
