Italian Chicken Drumsticks


This is a simple dinner that can be made in advance OR it can be made the day that you want to eat. Dinner can be on the table in an hour 🙉 while the chicken cooks you can make your side dishes and enjoy the aroma of this amazing dish.

The chicken was so tender and juicy and what I love is since I omitted the Parmesan cheese that was called for by Joy Filled Eats, the spices and chicken juice made a delicious gravy that was soaked with flavor. I can’t wait to try this recipe again.



Ingredients:
  • 2 packs of chicken legs
  • Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, dried parsley
  • 1 tsp adobo seasoning
  • OPTIONAL: *1 cup parmesan cheese, 1/3 cup chicken broth, meat tenderizer


Directions:
1️⃣ spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray
2️⃣ *add chicken legs to the pan and add the bread crumbs over the top of the chicken legs
3️⃣ season with the spices and if desired salt and pepper. *(If you use the Parmesan cheese OMIT the bread crumbs and use the spices and top with the Parmesan cheese.)
4️⃣ turn the chicken legs over and repeat the previous two steps
5️⃣ cover with aluminum foil and let it refrigerate till you are ready to cook dinner
I seasoned the chicken legs the night before hoping to get the flavors into the chicken.
6️⃣ Before putting the chicken in the oven I sprinkled the meat with a tenderizer and than covered the chicken back up and placed it in a preheated oven at 425 degrees
7️⃣ bake the chicken for 45 minutes covered or till completely cooked.
8️⃣ I took the foil off after 45 minutes and added the chicken broth (OPTIONAL) and  let it cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Serve while warm and enjoy 😉
