I got this recipe from Pinterest, from Delish. It is a simple recipe that you can cook overnight for a breakfast for the week or on the weekends. My friends enjoyed this recipe this morning and I will definitely be making this again. I hope you all enjoy it as well.
Ingredients:
- coconut oil, for greasing
- 3 cups of 2% milk
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups old fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup, plus extra for serving
- 2 tsps vanilla extract
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- OPTIONAL: 2 tbsp chia and flax seeds
Directions:
- Spread coconut oil around the edges of the crock pot base
- Add in all of the ingredients except for the blueberries, stir occasionally and allow to cook on low for eight hours or on high for four hours.
- In the last 10 minutes of cooking add in the blueberries and stir
- Serve drizzled with maple syrup
