Slow Cooker Blueberry Oatmeal

I got this recipe from Pinterest, from Delish. It is a simple recipe that you can cook overnight for a breakfast for the week or on the weekends. My friends enjoyed this recipe this morning and I will definitely be making this again. I hope you all enjoy it as well.

Ingredients:

  • coconut oil, for greasing
  • 3 cups of 2% milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup, plus extra for serving
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • OPTIONAL: 2 tbsp chia and flax seeds

Directions:

  1. Spread coconut oil around the edges of the crock pot base
  2. Add in all of the ingredients except for the blueberries, stir occasionally and allow to cook on low for eight hours or on high for four hours.
  3. In the last 10 minutes of cooking add in the blueberries and stir
  4. Serve drizzled with maple syrup
