Dry Rub


I am always looking for new ways to season meat and enjoy food in a healthier way. I came across these ideas on Pinterest and look forward to trying them out on some of the food that I make.

All Purpose Seasoning Rub
  • 6 tbsp sea salt
  • 2 tbsp parika
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp mustard powder
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper (for heat)

Sweet Carolina BBQ rub recipe
I almost tried this dry rub out with our ribs, but I will try it out another time.
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
Smoky Texas Rub recipe

  • 6 tbsp paprika
  • 3 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 4 tsp oregano
  • 4 tsp salt
  • Hickory smoke BBQ sauce or steak sauce

Montreal Seasoning Rub
Montreal Seasoning goes great on steaks. I will be trying this out on the ribs for tomorrow night. Pinterest also says that it would be a great seasoning for fries and other sides. 
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp rosemary1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder

Savory dry rub
This recipe would be great to try out as a seasoning for burgers. 
  • 1/3 cup paprika
  • 1/4 cup black pepper
  • 10 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper
